So I started making a map for ZDoom Wars. It's mainly Hexen-themed but has also stuff from Heretic. The map will be similar to a king of the hill map, for there is a big fortress in the middle on a hill.

Okay so I thought about it for a while and I'm now going to make a map for ZDoom Wars.. Before I can start making it, I need to know what textures etc. can I use... Like is it okay to import all textures from the game that the map will be based on (in this case Heretic&Hexen)? I'm not a beginner at mapping or anything, just want to be sure that I'm doing things right... Anyways after I get some information I can get started and propably get something done pretty quick. Thanks. PS. After I get something done, I will edit this post and insert pics etc..

Yeah it's passable... Propably it will be a passage to some cave or something.. Not sure yet. Btw need to be sure again but is it forbidden to use 3D floors? I just love doing stuff with them so I must be really sure I can't use them

My last poll concluded that one fifth of the ZDWars player base uses Software mode. 3D floors would be invisible to them, and the whining would commence in earnest. I strongly advise that your map appears attractive in both software and OGL.

I tried using them both at same time and it displayed normally in software mode and in opengl mode:

Wait, are those 3D Floors even allowed? AFAIK, LMS is a COMPETITIVE gamemode...

As I said earlier, I just discovered that it is possible to use 3D floors by just putting it in exactly where the fake 3d bridge is so if you use software mode, you will see the fake 3d bridge, and when using openGL mode, you will see the 3D floor bridge.. This is kind of hard for me to explain but that's why I posted those images... I guess I'll have to get rid of that 3D floor since there is that huge message at the start of the game saying there is a 3D floor in the map XD

ACTUALLY it will still remove the 3D floor when in a competetive game mode. In coop or something, it would appear as intended but not in the case of ZDWars.

I love posting screenshots.. Haven't done much but still something and that's a good reason to post 3 screenshots that are of the place, just different angles! XD I'm trying make that fortress wide and open enough so it can't get too crowded.. Not sure if I'm going to even make a fourth wall to it.. Could be just next to a mountain or something so the fort could be entered from there too.
