I have a suggestion. Adding pain state for arachnotrons. A low one, but still one to exist. It's just plain bullshit when they always attack you nonstop, killing any unit ghost or not from far far away. Here's poll time ;D *edit* ffff who tied up the 3 choices, rofl **another edit** We are now 5 votes away from this poll actually working. Keep the voting up is all I can say for now.

Is there an "I don't care either way" option?

I reckon it should have a REALLY low pain chance, like 8 or something, because on Pacific Warfare, one time I had like 7 arachnotrons along the line of the island, screwed up whatever the guy spawned.

And having such a low pain chance would have made such a pitifully negligible difference that it doesn't matter.
The Arachnotron was, in fact, given a 0 painchance because it is surprisingly useless with one, being a wide target, and not having too much health. If you fail to directly assault such a high priority target, than yes, it's going to kill EVERYTHING. That's why it's pricey.

What if you can't stop arachnos because people spam Rail Revenants ? I'm also willing to ask for a price increment for those, in both retrofit and pre-upgraded ones, normal mana and hero mana respectively. The main reason for this is ALL I see is RAIL REVENANTS all around, NOTHING ELSE but them (rarely ever normal ones are used, like on zdwars13) ... on towers, on hills, on the very ground... What the hell seriously, normal revenants are not even used anymore. The spam of them... GG you can never win the base now (unless you find a hole but that's rare) Now on topic, I agree they should have a painchance, it gets incredibly annoying when they constantly shoot your shit. Increasing hp and adding a painchance is good choice. (Since you said they are wide... But most of the time they are used on towers so that doesn't really matter) Also, kudos for poll time!

Well, I never use Rail Revenants, I always use normal, and yeah, what Vent said, if people are dumb enough ( no offence to anyone here, in case someone takes some ) to not target them, then pfft, all I can say.

Whoever voted "annoy ventris" take it back... He can choose to pick "no" out of them! (I doubt a change will occur even with poll results but oh well )

There are always ways to beat rail revs and arachnotrons.
you just have to be sneaky, or thing outside of the box.
Doom5 I know spams those rail revs like a motherfucker but they are easily killed, especially if you are playing strife Loremasters screw them over with their grappling chain (or any defenders on a ledge) and pull them right into the melee where your other units can engage them.
thats just one method for that faction in particular I've used others before, its possible for each.(easier with others than some)

Revs pain lock easily, and are startlingly inefficient if locked in melee with superior numbers of inferior foes.
Or yeah, more non-traditional methods such as Loremasters.

Only way I would say give Arachs a pain state, is if you gave DooM another anti-ghost that was equally efficient, IE, maybe fatsos?

Which would reverse a long-standing, fully justified gameplay factor.

Exactly IMO, Arachnotrons are the most effective anti-ghost unit DooM has, I could understand weakening the attack, or reducing the HP though, I wouldn't be a fan of it, but it'd be understandable, moreso than a pain state.
