Believe it or not, the Super Spirit Bomb is actually LESS dangerous than the regular one. The regular Spirit Bomb spews a ton of massive +NOCLIP death rays all throughout the map; You'd have to be on the opposite end of the Tech Monolith just for them to spread enough to dodge.
On the other hand, the Super one will practically guarantee that nothing in its range survives, because it hits repeatedly over a longer period of time. D'Sparil, the Entity, Repair Drone'd Acolytes, etc. can make it through the normal one due to their second forms/revival/etc.
Hmm... I wonder if it has +FOILINVUL? If not, then an Ettin or Centaur could survive it by blocking at the right time, and the Heresiarch could just sit there laughing.
Also: I tried this as Heretic. I spawned a ton of ghost mummies, disciples, normal weredragons (with ghost wave) and D'Sparil, and they shredded him good. He managed to get off a Spirit Bomb, though. I came back after it was clear and all that was left was a critical-health Saiyan Archvile and D'Sparil, sans serpent.
And then I tried it as Strife. I absolutely FILLED the throughfare fortress with Acolytes, with some repair drones for good measure. *countactors said there was about 1100 of them, with around 60 drones. It actually didn't lag at all... not until I spawned Goku. Then my FPS dropped to about 0.5
They did quite a number on him, but then he tossed out a spirit bomb and killed every single one.
And then they all stood back up and brought him down to critical health, where he did a kamikaze Super Spirit Bomb and finished them off for good.
Now, go fight LilWhiteMouse's Harbinger. That one's MEANT to fight armies. There's a test wad for it (harb
ringer.wad) that has you supported by constantly-spawning plasma rifle marines, and they drop like flies. They'd probably interfere with the ZDW monsters, though. There's a different wad made for multiplayer co-op against it (harbinger.wad) that has 2 maps with weapons/ammo/health scattered around them, but the items will be removed by ZDW anyway, so they'd be perfect.
I'm not sure where to actually find this version of the wad, though, and it's too big to upload as an attachment.
edit:
right here. This thing is the most legitimately powerful monster I've ever encountered (in other words it doesn't just spam the same instant kill attack over and over. it spams MULTIPLE instant kill attacks over and over.
)
edit 2: Apparently there's a script conflict or something (not surprising, all things considered), because your mana doesn't regenerate with it. Either turn on infinite ammo, or turn on respawning pickups and go for backpacks.
edit 3: Better yet, just use
this with it.
