Inconsitancy with Shadow Acotyles

I'm not sure if I'm the first to tell you this but,
why are Shadow Acolytes partially transparent (like a DOOM Specter) and not translucent (Like Heretic's Ghosts) because, correct me please if I'm wrong, aren't they translucent in Strife and not partially transparent?

Looks like I haven't played Strife enough to remember about such a thing... I thought shadow acolytes weren't in the actual game and were put into zdwars just so they have a nice ghost unit?

I really don't remember seeing them in strife D:
In any case, I'd prefer the type of rendering currently in use because in my opinion it looks better like that.

They're in Strife only a couple times, mostly to show off the Shadow Suit item. I'm having them render in the default Strife manner.
