What do you wish Zdoom Wars would do?
I wish ...
Failing to summon a monster would not use up all of the mana required for that monster (and set off the boss timer too for boss monsters).
Monsters could not get summoned on areas where they are unable to move or attack.
People would play a larger variety of maps.

Why are you all attacking the guy, being conditioned like that ? I find it disturbing.
What he says is actually useful, maybe quarter of the money you spent being given back would not be that bad, much like in ALMOST ALL RTS's there, half of the money being given back for cancelling constructions. However, I support the boss timer being wasted ONLY because it is a GOOD punishment of some sort for wasting your hero. Sure I fail spawning my heroes at times too, but that doesn't mean I must totally be on your side.

Assuming it's not deliberate on Ventris' part, ammo use on failed spawn is actually "simple" to fix. And by extension, the hero issue as well.

Yessir! ;D When a minion is first summoned, have it call a simple script that gives a CustomInventory to the summoning Player. This item will reduce ammo as required via A_TakeInventory. If the minion doesn't spawn, it will not be able to call its script.
