I wish monsters would engage what’s nearest over what they first they see/hear. When something is spawned it almost seems to randomly pick a target and almost never the player.
Having the monsters go after the nearest target would make them appear smart. But I don’t know if that’s at all possible as I think that’s hard coded.
Monsters will switch targets when they get damage. A fresh Cyberdemon will fire upon anything that hits it first and usually engages by who’s hitting after.
What if we made the player, via all weapons (spawners) cause extremely minor damage every so often in a medium area of effect? This would add some kind of priority to monsters that have full health. Yet not give 100% attention to players.
I know I’m a bad player. But I’m just sick of people storming my fort by themselves and spawning an army on top of mine without taking a hit. Or like when a player runs though a line of 1,000 of my minions without a scratch. Perhaps I’m alone on this, but this would make games faster and more interesting.
Or perhaps an alt fire for spawning deaf monsters for ambushes?

meh, never really had a problem with the AI. Just spamm some shit at a monster and your units will eventually attack/kill it. Certain monsters attack players more than others, [assassin's,most of heretic, mancs/reves] But they get delt with easily if you get rid of them.

The AI is pretty bad, nothing to do with how the mod was made, it's just not designed to go against any more then 2 targets.
I'd just like to apply some real strategy rather then a "lol I can spam" techniques.
